JengaStack implements automated multi-tier backup policies to ensure zero data loss for your business transactions and accounting records.

Backup Schedule & Retention

  • Automated Nightly Snapshots: Created every morning at 01:00 EAT.
  • Offsite Replication: Encrypted database dumps (.sql) and filestore volumes are mirrored to Backblaze B2 object storage.
  • Retention Tier: Backups are preserved for 7 daily, 4 weekly, and 3 monthly rotations.
  • Integrity Checks: Automated verification verifies archive headers and database integrity continuously.

Creating an On-Demand Snapshot

Before installing new modules or performing bulk product updates: 1. Navigate to Backups in your management dashboard. 2. Click Create Backup. 3. Select your instance and submit. 4. The system creates an instant point-in-time backup and syncs it to offsite storage.

Downloading a Backup Snapshot

To keep an offline copy for local audits or external compliance: 1. Open the Backups page. 2. Locate the successful backup row. 3. Click the Download button to generate a secure, temporary pre-signed link.

Restoring From a Backup

To restore your database to a previous point in time: 1. Open the Backups view and locate the desired backup timestamp. 2. Click Restore. 3. Confirm the restoration prompt. 4. The system will pause the instance, restore the database tables, reconnect the filestore, and restart the instance.
