Adding & Removing Modules¶
Extend your Odoo instance with additional functionality.
Available Modules¶
Your instance comes pre-installed with the template's modules. Additional modules include:
Industry Modules¶
- Accounting, Full double-entry accounting
- Inventory, Stock management, warehouse operations
- Sales, Quotations, sales orders, CRM
- Purchases, Vendor management, purchase orders
- Manufacturing, Bill of materials, production orders
- HR, Employee records, leaves, expenses
- Project, Project management, tasks, timesheets
Kenyan-Specific Modules¶
- Jenga eTIMS, KRA invoice signing and compliance
- Jenga M-Pesa, M-Pesa payment integration
- OSCU Management, Virtual ETR serial management
- UNSPSC Codes, Commodity code mapping
Installing Modules¶
From the Apps Menu¶
- Log into Odoo as admin
- Click the Apps menu at the top
- Browse or search for the module you need
- Click the module card to view details
- Click "Install" or "Activate"
- Wait for the installation to complete
From Settings¶
Some modules are activated via Settings: 1. Go to Settings 2. Look for feature toggles 3. Toggle the feature on 4. The module installs automatically
Removing Modules¶
- Go to Apps menu
- Find the installed module
- Click the module card
- Click "Uninstall" or "Deactivate"
- Confirm the removal
Data Loss Warning
Uninstalling a module may delete associated data (fields, views, menus, and records). Backup your database before removing critical modules.
Customizing Modules¶
Using Studio (Odoo Enterprise)¶
If your instance has Odoo Enterprise: 1. Go to Settings > Activate Studio 2. Use Studio to add fields, modify views, create reports 3. All changes are saved as custom modules
Technical Customization (Odoo Community)¶
For technical users: 1. Go to Settings > Technical 2. Modify views, fields, and models directly 3. Create custom reports with QWeb 4. Add server actions and automated actions
Custom Module Installation¶
To install a custom module provided by JengaStack: 1. Contact support with your module requirements 2. We'll build and deploy the module to your instance 3. Go to Apps and install the custom module 4. Configure as needed
Updating Modules¶
- Go to Apps
- Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the top-right
- Click "Update Apps List"
- Available updates will appear
- Click "Upgrade" on each module to update

Always check module compatibility with your Odoo version before installing third-party modules. Contact support if unsure.
